Wallet credit and subscriptions do different jobs

A wallet card adds spending balance to a compatible store account. A subscription voucher grants access to a particular membership tier for a defined period. A PlayStation Store balance card, an Xbox Game Pass voucher and a Steam Wallet code are different products, even when their prices look similar. Read the card value or membership duration, the exact edition and the redemption instructions.

Match the card to the account

Country and account currency matter. PlayStation Store vouchers must match the account region. Steam Wallet codes can have currency restrictions. Subscription codes can also depend on an existing membership, supported device or introductory-offer eligibility. Check those conditions before you pay; changing a store region is not a reliable way to make an incompatible code work.

Buying for another player

Ask which platform and account region the recipient uses. If they already subscribe to a service, confirm the tier and whether the voucher can extend that membership. Keep a delivered code private until you are ready to give it to them. The product page should identify the exact voucher being sold; a familiar brand logo alone does not establish compatibility.
